PT Progression Annual Performance Assessment

Your annual physical for strength, mobility and physical capacity.

You know your blood pressure. Do you know if you're getting weaker?

You probably know your blood pressure, cholesterol and weight. But do you know whether you're getting stronger, slower, stiffer or less powerful?

The PT Progression Annual Performance Assessment is a once yearly evaluation of the physical qualities that determine what you can keep doing: strength, mobility, balance, power and cardiovascular capacity. We establish your baseline, identify what deserves attention, and give you a plan for the year ahead.

Performance doesn't have to mean sports. Walking, carrying, getting off the floor, skiing, golfing and keeping up with your kids are all physical performance. You don't have to be hurt to come in.

Your Performance Scorecard

Five domains, tested the same way every year by either clinician, so this year's numbers can be compared with next year's.

  1. Mobility

Hip, ankle, shoulder and spine mobility, chosen for your needs and activities. Squat, reach, rotation, and joint specific measurements where they matter.

  2. Strength

Objective upper and lower body testing. Numbers, not impressions.

  3. Power

How quickly you can produce force. Power declines differently from maximal strength and matters more with every decade. The test is matched to your age and ability.

  4. Balance and movement

Single leg balance, dynamic balance, gait and agility, and getting to and from the floor.

  5. Cardiovascular capacity

A standardized submaximal test. Simple, repeatable, and honest about what it measures.

Your goals and injury history frame all five. They decide which results matter most for you, and what the plan is built around.

How the hour starts

The same way every visit here starts. A quick tour, a private room, and one question: what do you want to keep doing? Then we listen. You set the agenda before anyone measures anything.

You leave with your Performance Report

Not a verbal summary. A one page report with your numbers in every domain, your first two exercises, and what to work on this year, written by the clinician who tested you.

Next year we run the same tests the same way and put the two columns side by side, so you can see what actually changed.

The plan is yours. Take it to your own gym or trainer, or carry it out here with us.

Who this is for

  • Past patients who want to keep what they worked for
  • Active adults in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond who plan to stay that way
  • Golfers, skiers, runners and lifters heading into a new season
  • Anyone who would rather find a problem early than rehab it later
If the assessment turns up something outside the scope of physical therapy, we will tell you, and point you to the right medical provider.

Start with a free 15-minute fit call
